Nora Belanger, Esq. is a special education and disability rights attorney in Norwalk, Connecticut. She has a B.S. in Special Education, with a minor in psychology. She has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut where she graduated with honors. She received a Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law where she graduated with honors and served as Executive Editor of the Pace Law Review. Attorney Belanger was a special education teacher and a Planning and Placement Team Coordinator over twenty years ago in a prior career. She has spoken to parents’ groups on the subject of special education law and parent’s rights. She has published an article in the Pace Law Review in the Fall of 2000 called “The ADA- A Practitioner’s Guide in the Aftermath of Sutton: Sutton v. United Air Lines.” Attorney Belanger devotes her practice to the representation of parents and their children at PPTs, mediation, due process hearings and federal court on issues surrounding a free and appropriate public education (FAPE) and issues under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
